An obsession with Margherita Pizza

Marco Posadas • Mar 30, 2022

What can I say? I'm addicted to margherita pizza. There's just something about the combination of mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil that makes it irresistible. In my opinion, it's the best pizza around.

I could eat margherita pizza every day and never get bored. I even enjoy it when it's cold, which is a testament to how much I love it. If there's one food I could eat for the rest of my life, margherita pizza would be it.

Adding tomatoes with a white sauce is on unique way to make a margherita pizza.  The sauce is made from scratch with olive oil, garlic, and a little bit of cream. It's simple, but so delicious. Usually this type of margherita pizza has tomato slices to compensate as tomato sauce. Marco's Italian Restaurant makes theirs with marinara sauce instead of pizza sauce. I've also had margherita pizzas with pesto, béchamel sauce, and even a five cheese blend.

There are so many different ways to make margherita pizza, but no matter how it's prepared, it always tastes amazing. I've never had a bad margherita pizza. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that margherita is the best type of pizza there is.
